More than its name, a company is identified and recognized by its logo. Whether we’re driving down the road or walking through a supermarket, our subconscious is constantly active. We see a common restaurant or gas station, our favorite food or beverage brand, or the goods that are on sale that week. A logo has a lot of power and ability. We’ve seen a higher frequency for custom orders requesting PPE with company logos and for good reason. Below are just some of those reasons.
As an employer or safety director, you’ve put forth time, effort, and money to develop a program to help provide a safer work environment for your work force. When the safety product features your company’s logo, it emphasizes all of those facts. The worker will view the PPE provided to them as more than a product off a shelf. Perceptually, the product will carry more value because it carries the company logo – their company’s logo.
Adding your company’s logo to the PPE you provide your organization will also enhance customer perception – both existing and potential customers. For the same reason you may provide uniforms with your company’s logo, PPE featuring your logo will better demonstrate to your customers the quality and professionalism of your organization. In turn, your customers will feel more confident in your ability to satisfy their needs.
Brand recognition requires repeated exposure to the brand name, slogan and logo. Seeing the same thing over and over again is often one of the best ways to remember it. The same applies to PPE with your company logo. Customers are more likely to remember your company and the services or goods provided the more frequently they see your brand (or logo). PPE with your logo has the ability to continually show off your brand.
This especially applies to companies that have employees that work outside of their main facility or simply work outside. As we just identified, featuring your logo on PPE allows you to market your brand to customers you currently service. But while your employees are on the road or working off site, they are observed by others who may not be as familiar with your company or what you do. As they see your logo, and see it more frequently, that changes. Suddenly you have a new prospective client who otherwise may not have known who you are, or even considered your company.
When PPE becomes part of the uniform, it makes it easier for workers to remember each component before they get on the job. It also helps the employer, safety director, and others know that their colleagues are wearing their company issued PPE. Again, a lot of time goes into developing a safety program and it’s important that the program is followed, to help ensure a safer environment.
