Cut protection gloves have undergone a wide array of changes over the years. Original cut protection goes back centuries when metal armor and chainmail were used for protection. This was an effective tool for protection but was extremely heavy, bulky and offered very little in the way of dexterity. Believe it or not, chainmail is still an option today when cut proof protection is required for jobs where blade contact is almost unavoidable. However, for most everyday tasks, cut resistance with formfitting dexterity and enhanced grip is the best option.
Fortunately, technology has advanced to the point where cut resistant gloves no longer need to be made from chainmail but are seamlessly knitted using a variety of proprietary fibers or yarns such as Dyneema® Diamond, or engineered yarns, such as PolyKor™. Originally only available in thicker gauges, over the last few years we have been seeing thinner cut resistant gloves with high cut scores. Protective Industrial Products, Inc. offers leading brands G-Tek® and ATG®, which provide cut protection gloves for workers that are comfortable and provide optimal dexterity and tactile sensitivity that today's workers demand.
ATG® and PIP have brought the #1 industrial glove to America with the Maxiflex Ultimate 34-874. Now we've brought additional advancements with the Maxiflex® Cut™ and MaxiCut® Ultra™, that offer the dexterity and tactility of the 34-874 which enables workers to perform precision tasks with the added value of enhanced cut protection.

Premium cut protection made with Dyneema® Diamond Technology fibers offer twice the cut resistance of standard Dyneema. With this advanced technology G-Tek® 3GX™ is able to offer workers gloves that provide a higher level of cut protection without increasing the thickness of the glove. The G-Tek® 3GX™ 19-D318 is able to achieve an EN 3 level of cut protection, while still remaining an 18 gauge glove.

Advancements in manufacturing processes and engineered yarn technology have allowed PIP to develop its own proprietary PolyKor™ Technology, which is making cut resistant gloves affordable to all. PolyKor™ Engineered Yarns optimize performance, function, and protection by blending select fibers to exceed industry standards. The ultimate objective is always affordable cut-resistant gloves for practically every application. Consider G-Tek®PolyKor™ when a "General Purpose" glove may not be enough protection. PolyKor™ delivers elevated "General Protection" with an incredible combination of performance and value.
